The Ingram
Background
Situated within the tranquil beauty of a nature preserve in Ingram, Texas, this tile roof house offers the perfect blend of rustic charm and modern sustainability. This picturesque home was fitted with an authentic, two-piece handmade clay tile roof, covering approximately 3,000 square feet. The tiles were chosen not only for their stunning aesthetic but also for their longevity and ability to complement the natural surroundings.
Challenges
The unique design of this project presented several key challenges. The roof’s low-slope areas required the installation of ice and water shields for added protection against water intrusion, ensuring durability in low spots prone to moisture. As the roofing company, we had to install extra support to compensate for the additional weight of the tile, ensuring structural integrity.
Solutions
Schulte Roofing worked meticulously to balance aesthetics with structural needs. The two-piece handmade clay tiles, carefully installed, create a classic look that blends beautifully with the surrounding landscape. The result is a residential roof that marries beauty and durability, enhancing The Ingram while preserving its connection to nature.
