Each of our roofing projects is backed by manufacturer warranties. They cover material defects that may go unnoticed, but not necessarily installation-related issues or damage. To cover this portion of the roofing process, we back our work up with a minimum workmanship warranty.

What is the difference between a manufacturer guarantee and a roofer guarantee?
A roofer’s guarantee is only effective if the roofing company they work for is still in business. If the company is no longer in business, the guarantee is no longer valid. A manufacturer’s warranty, on the other hand, lasts for a certain length of time. Typically, the duration of time is stated in the product warranty. This type of guarantee is a standard agreement between the product manufacturer and you. They do not cover roofer-related issues like installation errors or poor workmanship.
We make repairs up to the duration of time stated on the product warranty. After that, the contractor’s guarantee continues to apply as it was originally stated. If, however, the roofer does not build the roof to the manufacturer’s specifications, the product warranty will be void. In this type of event, the onus is on the roofer. If the roofer is no longer in business, then the homeowner will not be covered by any warranty.
What are the different types of warranties?
There are four types of roofing warranties: non-prorated, total system, single-source warranty, and a no-dollar-limit (NDL). Inquire with your roofer about the type of warranty they use. Ask for a written copy of the warranty and keep it on file. This piece of information can become dire in the event that your roof needs repair. Be sure to note the roof’s age recorded with the manufacturer warranty when dealing with prorated warranties.
What will void a manufacturer warranty?
A voided warranty usually occurs because of improper installation or poor workmanship. This can happen when a roofer does not follow the manufacturer’s specifications or uses inferior products in an attempt to reduce costs. This typically nullifies the manufacturer’s warranty.
