Partnering with The Texas A&M University System and Blinn College District, Schulte Roofing was selected by Vaughn Construction to execute the complex roofing requirements for the 83,000-square-foot Walter C. Schwartz Building. Our reputation for reliability and on-site engineering expertise made us the ideal choice for this project.
Challenges
The 34,000-square-foot rooftop presented unique challenges, including non-typical roof penetrations and the integration of multiple components: metal wall panels, soffit panels, fascia, and high-performance thermoplastic polyolefin (TPO) commercial roofing. Our in-house custom metal shop facilitated the efficient fabrication of all metal components, while our certified crane operators skillfully managed operations near the adjacent airport.
Solutions
Before installation, we conducted comprehensive moisture testing on the concrete deck to ensure optimal conditions for long-term durability. We handled every aspect of a complex commercial roofing project, from custom fabrication to specialized installation requirements.
