Corps Dorms

The Corps Dorms on the Texas A&M University’s campus were originally built in 1939 with the most recent renovations being completed in 2017.

Background

Schulte Roofing was selected to renovate 34,928 square feet of roofing on the historic Corps Dorms at Texas A&M University, originally built in 1939. Our reputation for handling complex commercial installations on demanding schedules made us the ideal choice for this significant renovation project.

Challenges

The project presented unique challenges, particularly the extraordinary density of roof penetrations, approximately 300 for every 8,000 square feet. To address this complexity while meeting strict pre-semester completion deadlines, we implemented an innovative roofing solution combining hot asphalt with high-performance thermoplastic polyolefin (TPO) commercial roofing. This specialized assembly ensured waterproof seals around each penetration point.

Solutions

Our skilled team’s efficiency enabled us to complete this intricate installation within just two weeks of project approval, demonstrating our capability to deliver superior results on historically significant buildings under tight deadlines.
